Understand your customers environmental needs e.g. if you supply wooden furniture are you Forest Stewardship (FSC) accredited.

Walk the talk – ensure from the top level down that all staff understand and comply with your environmental practice.
5. Understand and manage your carbon footprint.
Businesses with a half hourly read electricity meter must declare them to the Environment Agency, or face a £1,000 fine.
The mandatory Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC) emissions trading scheme states that businesses must register their meters by April 2010.
The aim of the scheme is to encourage businesses to improve energy efficiency, and thus save cash. More
